Today, we hope to breakdown the payment process so you can better understand how Gateway Travel Agents are paid from booking to commission dispersement.

1. Your Commission Package
The first step is picking and being aware of your commission split with Gateway Travel. This is the commission split you pick during the sign up process with Gateway Travel. When you sign up with Gateway Travel you are going to want to pick the commission that best suites your travel goals.

For this example let's say you have decided on the 80% commission plan for $44.99 per month.
2. Book That Trip
After you signup with Gateway Travel and have your commission plan in place you will work with your New Agent Support Team Member to get started booking and training with suppliers. You will have access to travel agent exclusive booking platforms where you will book your own trips as well as client trips.
For this example let's say you book a Disney World Trip for a family member totaling $6,200
3. Notify Gateway Travel of Booking
After you book your trip on the Supplier Exclusive Travel Agent booking platform you will notify Gateway Travel of your booking by entering the reservation into our Client Relationship Management (CRM) database.
This CRM is included for FREE when you signup with Gateway Travel and allows you the ability to track clients, bookings, payments, and much much more!
4. Breaking down Commission Pay
Most Suppliers will release commission to Gateway Travel within 30 days of your clients' check-in date.
For this example, our contracted commission rate with Disney Travel Company is 10%
$6,200 Client Trip Total
10% Commission Split with Disney Travel Company
$620 Commission Payment Received from Disney Travel Company
80% Agent Commission Package
$496 Paid to YOU as the Agent
5. Receiving Commission
We pay our Gateway Travel Agents using Direct Deposit on the 15th and 29th of each month. We take paying our agents VERY seriously and have a great reputation in the industry when it comes to paying our agents on time and what is due them.
