What Training & Support Is Offered?

We know training is important and we take it seriously. We want to break down a few highlights of our training so you can better understand everything included in Gateway Travels extensive training program.

Module Training: No matter how high you build your business, it will crumble without a solid foundation.  The core of your business is important, and that's why we help you develop successful strategies and habits to solidify your business and give you the strength needed to create a lasting business. This training consist of 4 modules and is infused with the best business building information you can find. This practical training will help you to start, grow, and maintain a healthy business.

Supplier Training: Each of our almost 200 suppliers offer online or destination training for you learn about their products.  These offerings are sure to give you the expertise needed to effectively sell the destination or supplier you choose to sell. Some of our suppliers also offer local training for our agents! You can register for these events in a city near you, meet your city sales representatives, and get to know other travel agents in your area.

Affiliate Training: Creating a strategic partnership with the top affiliates in the industry, including Travel Leaders and American Express, we are able to offer powerful trainings and preferred webinars through their systems. Taking advantage of these tools, resources, and training opportunities will continue to help you grow in our travel and business knowledge.

FAM Trips: A typical FAM (familiarization) will be set up to allow the agent to stay on property or onboard if a Cruise, tour different room categories, explore and understand ticketing and attractions offered, eat the food, receive expert training from the supplier with lots of time for Q&A, and much much more. We make it a priority to offer two FAM trips per year, typically in the Spring and Fall. You can read all about one of our amazing FAM trip opportunities here.

Agent Exclusive Facebook Group: When you sign up with Gateway Travel as a Travel Agent you will have access to our Agent Only Facebook Group. Some of the best learning we can do is from each other. We have an amazing group of agents who have maintained an incredible culture to encourage, help, and support one another. You will find a wealth of practical travel agent information as well as amazing destination experts that can assist you and help you to grow as a travel agent.
